Finding some focus

I saw a post online yesterday that made me get thinking ..

You see a group of friends from Ludus got together last night and had an actual meeting (with minute taking and everything) about their fitness/health/life goals for the month ahead.

Obviously every person was different, but they each read their goals aloud to the rest of the group along with the plans they had in place to ensure they reached their targets by the end of the month.

They were all putting a stake in the ground!

I on the other hand have spent weeks (maybe even months) humming and harring, going along with the flow, overdoing some things and completely ignoring others. So although it may be a tad cliché’ I’ve decided that the 1st of the month is as good a day as any to sort my s**t out – and you shall all be my “committee”

I don’t have huge goals like some of the ones I heard about from last nights meeting of the #tillfatigue club and I don’t have a long list, actually I only have a couple that I want to concentrate on. But they are two simple things that always change my life, outlook and body more than anything else.

First – Food!

I will eat 100% paleo for 6 days of the week.

I feel great when I eat paleo! Grains make me feel sluggish and even though I know this (and live it) cake is made from grains. I do heart me some cake. 😉

However not even I require cake Friday, Saturday AND Sunday! I’m pretty sure cutting back to 1 day of cake eating will not be the end of the world.

Second – I will make time for my mat.

I’ve been meaning to get back into yoga for what seems like an eternity now. It’s time to get serious and throughout the month of November I vow to do at least one yoga session each week. Ideally I’d like to get in at least two sessions – but one session is better than the no sessions I am currently doing!

So there it is ..

Nothing too earth shattering, but I’ve put it out there and now I’m accountable to not only myself – but to all of you.

Till next time

Love it J, respect your courage. Now to find my own and make myself accountable too. Recovering from an injury and frustrated and sore. I know what I want to do… and what I can do. Start with the food.
