Fit N Festive

First of all I hope that you all had a fabulous Christmas. I truly hope it was filled with love, laughter, friends, family, good food and elasticated waist bands!

I have to admit I had the best intentions of doing my training Christmas Day .. but the morning started way too early (thanks to the kidlets) and after that the day kind of got away on me BUT thankfully I woke today (which is Boxing Day in NZ) and just fell back into my normal routine – swim done, run done AND loads of cleaning and decluttering ready to herald in the a New Year nice and fresh.

Christmas Day was awesome in our house. It’s the first Christmas where the kids are almost old enough to “get it” Isabelle was easily pulled into line with the “I will ring Santa” line, but it’s still a little fuzzy for Elias. However Christmas still involved too much sugar, too much chocolate and not enough protein 😉 Oh well one day out of 365 .. I won’t beat myself up too much.

So what does an iron woman in the making get for Christmas? .. Here are my top 3

Bowls that I can make porridge in!

The standard desert sized bowls we had just don’t cut it really so I was skipping making porridge at home because I was sick of cleaning up the overflow (and wasting all those oats)!

I got my very first pair of Thorlos under the tree this year and honestly I could learn to love running if I get to wear these every time I don my running shoes.

I guess you get what you pay for .. but I still cringe at the price! Especially when I want enough pairs to wear them every training session.

A custom made medal holder.

I had these medals hanging from various lamps around the house and a couple I found in the basket I throw “stuff” into, now they all have a home.

And this is what I want hanging in the center ….

Bring on 2012!

If you want one of these you will find them at Allied Medal Displays

Till next time
