100 Days 100 Burpees – Day Six – I think I found my mojo

It’s been ages since I’ve felt good during a workout.

I have so many injuries these days I think it would be quicker to list the body parts that are not “broken” so it’s made training hard, running a thing of the past and left me frustrated, unfit and fat(ter).

But this morning something “clicked” ..

Although I am still broken, still unfit and still fat(ter) the workout was the best I’ve had in ages, not that I got through it I stayed on an extra 20 minutes and still only got through 60 of the heavy hundy.

And I didn’t even attempt the partner tri squat, I’ll leave that to the people with good knees 😉

I also couldn’t do any of the running or anything that involved jumping onto a box BUT nevertheless I had a great workout.  My fav was the upright row, bent over row, chin combo .. I loaded an olympic bar put it under the chin bar and away I went .. It hurt SOOOO good, you had to do three of each (in a row) to get one point.  (Yes Rod’s mean!)

Then after work instead of the walk that James and I usually do we decided that on a Tuesday and a Thursday we would do a Ludusesque type workout – Tuesday I would get to design the workout and he would get his own back on a Thursday.

Let’s just say it would have worked better if the kidlets didn’t want to join in .. so on Thursday we will try doing the workout in the garage and use the front driveway and ban the kids to the downstairs driveway with Nanna and Poppa .. we live and learn

The bright side of curious kidlets is that I taught each one how to do a tyre beast. My very own baby spartans

Here is Isabelle’s effort

So I guess we should get round to Day Six of the 100 Days 100 Burpee Challenge

Day 1 = 1 burpee
Day 2 = 2 burpees etc etc

So far I’ve done ludus standard burpees, lateral knee raise burpees and frog leap burpees. On todays agenda we have bag burpees!

Till next time
