Fitness Blog World – The missing link
The topic for discussion this week of the Fitness Blogworld Bloggers is
“What is your fitness lacking?”
If I was going to be flippant my answer would be “some weight sessions” but I guess I should think before I open my mouth 😉
For the longest time I was lacking “balance”.
I have an “all or nothing” type of personality .. you either have me 200% or not at all. I’ve been working my way through this and I’ve made some progress in this area. Some things have had to give for me to find a way to “have it all” but I *think* I’m finally getting better at prioritising and deciding what is important to me “right now”.
I was lacking variety ..
I used to get up do cardio at the gym, go to work then go back to the gym and lift some weights. (Sounds boring huh?) We’ll I guess it was a little, but that is “what I did” and why fix something that isn’t broken?
But then I found Ludus and I realised that you could actually HAVE FUN while exercising .. who knew ;)Heck I don’t even need to be in the arena to get a good workout!
So I guess I’m not lacking in that area any more either.
So what is missing?
Probably some direction. At the moment I work out for fun, because I enjoy it, because I loathe to miss a session, because I feel like I am missing out if I don’t go.
Is that a bad thing?
I guess not. But I’ve never been without some form of “big goal” something to aim for that shows me which way to go and where the finish line is and therefore I’m not training specifically for anything but life itself.
Can this carry on?
I guess so .. but I’m not sure if I can do this “meandering along” forever, surely I will need something to aim towards.
Between you and me though, meandering has its up sides!
Till next time
