Come join the dark side!

One of the questions I am often asked is “How do you do it?  How do you manage to fit everything in?”

Well my “anal” organizational skills come to the forefront and I plan plan plan.  I’ve found that if I don’t have a plan, things just don’t get done, this is especially true since Ive had the kidlets.  Kidlets tend to throw all sorts of curve balls at you, so leaving things till I “have time” would mean that I probably wouldn’t get anything done.   The kidlets are my sun, literally!  My world now revolves around them.

Kidlets will throw so many curveballs one is bound to hit you in the head!


One trick of the trade is the magic time of day known as stupid oclock!  It’s a strange time of day inhabited by a special type of person .. early risers (although Im pretty sure stupid oclock is also inhabited by night owls who have yet to sleep) 😉

Now there isn’t much to do at stupid oclock, other than sleep .. so it’s a great time of the day to get some training done and dusted!

So for those of you who are too busy to fit it all in … come and join me … it may be dark outside, but the lights shine brightly inside.


Where is everyone?

I can feel the tension in the air rising .. but honestly, you do get used to being up before the sun, and for those of you who are not twice a day training, think of all the fun things you will get to do with all the time you free up in the evenings 😉

For those of you who are still thinking “Training at that time of the morning is a dumb idea” .. here are some great reasons to haul your butt out of your warm bed.

  1. The gym is quiet!  No queues, no time limits, no one waiting 30 cm away from you because they want to use your equipment.

    Look Mum .. no queues! (Sorry for my demented happy smile)

  2. You can try out all those exercises that you havent perfected yet away from prying eyes.   You want to stand on a swiss ball?  Hell, give it a go, there will probably only be two witnesses if you fail and one of those witnesses is you!

    No one to watch me struggle pulling my fat butt up!

  3. You can wear anything you want because all those immaculately dressed gym bunnies who make you feel unworthy are at home getting their beauty sleep.

    Well black goes with black right? .. and my shoes do match my hat ... *sigh .. ill never be a fitness model*

On a more serious note .. You fire up your metabolism and that’s a great way to start the day!

  1. I tend to get up at stupid o’clock too. Amazing what you can get done at that hour.

    Saw your blog at the Bikini or Bust challenge. I’m in, but have no clue what I’m doing. But I’m excited and focused. Looking forward to following blogs of other competitors. Keep up the great work.
