Challenge Me
Yesterday I was lamenting about being adrift without a goal post to aim for and when I am goalless it shows!
My training becomes lackluster, my food intake becomes more generous than my body needs and even my thought process becomes more scattered. I just tend to drift like Iggle Piggle in his little boat out at sea. (Can you tell I am a Mummy of toddlers) 😉
So today I started investigating ways that I could challenge myself with the aim to light a fire under my now more ample arse and get my head back into the game.
Mr Google was helpful and led me to lots of people who had dreamed up ways of keeping themselves challenged and accountable. There were people who had pledged to run certain distances for a certain time (ummm that’s not going to happen in my world), there were people who had decided to try a different fitness activity each week (tad pedestrian for me) and of course there were people who had decided to compete (been there, done that, even have the medal to prove it).
Then I came across the 100 day challenges. There was the 1 mile a day challenge (no), the 100 pushup challenge (more up my alley but not quite what I was after), the 100 day core challenge (I could hear my tummy muscles screaming in agony just thinking about it) and then there it was beckoning me to take on the pain and suffering this challenge was going to provide ..
The premise is simple enough.
Day 1 = 1 Burpee, Day 2 = 2 Burpees etc etc. If you miss a day you have to do that lot of burpees + the next lot of burpees. So if you miss day 5 you would need to do 11 burpees the following day (5+6). On day 100 you do 100 burpees. By the end of the 100 days I will have done 5050 burpees.
HOWEVER any burpees I do as part of a normal workout do not count. So if on day 100 I do 100 burpees at Ludus .. I will still have to do my 100 challenge burpees.
I can hear you all asking “why the hell burpees .. don’t you hate burpees?” and the answer is yes, but not as much as I hate running .. 😉 but seriously, its something I can do anywhere at anytime and I do not need any equipment other than my legs (and shoes would make it more comfy). There will be no excuses so ABSOLUTELY NO reason to fail.
Because today is the 6th I will do the last six days burpees today, just so that I can keep track easily on the calender. So tonight I will complete 21 burpees (then tomorrow I will be back at 7).
Now here is the kicker. I will not “be eligible” for any perky boobies until this challenge is completed .. in full! James will make sure of that! Day 100 will be Friday 9th December so if I’m good I could get boobies “under the Christmas tree”. That will make the Christmas countdown more exciting this year! 😉

Till next time
PS – I know we usually have a guess the wolf sneak peek, but its Wednesday tomorrow .. one more sleep! He is worth the wait 😉
