Another year

Yesterday many many moons ago I arrived on planet earth.  Although that statement makes me sound like an alien I am actually trying to convey the fact that yesterday I “celebrated” my birthday.

Not that there was actually much celebrating going on.  No cake or party, but Isabelle did squeel at me that it was my special day, so I guess that is rather celebratory in itself.

I still got up at stupid o’clock because my baby decided that 5.30am was a good a time as any to start a Sunday.  So I put on a Diego DVD and got on with my morning cardio session while James slept soundly oblivious to the fact that everyone else in the house was awake .. bless him.  Although those aren’t the exact words I muttered at 5.30 am when I got up to the kids, but I digress. 😉

After my morning cardio was done and dusted it was time for my birthday cake.  We had to be a little inventive, but believe me it was as good as any cake to me!

And yes that is a rice wafer cake, three tiers in fact!  Delicious!  After cake the day went pretty quickly.  We took the kids to see Dorothy the Dinosaur then I went to meet my BFF and she bought me an amazing backstage bag.  I’ll take a pic of it when I remember, but I love it .. love love love it!

The rest of the day was spent trying to work out how to use my birthday pressie from James and the kids – an Ipad.  So far it seems just like a big version of my phone.  I’m not sure what the big attraction is, but I’m sure it will grow on me.  If not James just scored big time. 🙂

Oh and I would just like to say “thank you” to everyone who reads my blog.  I thought of you all this morning when I tried to talk myself into not going to Ludus.  I thought to myself “how are you going to tell everyone you piked out after just writing about the challenge on Friday!” .. so I got my sorry butt out of bed and went.

And .. it was hard, really hard, really really hard .. vomit inducing hard.  I know how those people on the biggest loser feel now!

Till next time

PS – The Ludus Challenge so far  = Julia 2, Francis 2, Brooke 0 (not that I’m counting or anything) 😉
