Social Butterfly

Welcome to Monday!

What a jam-packed weekend.  Thankfully I have a desk job and today I get to sit on my butt for a bit.

Friday night I had the beach photo shoot with Peter and Rosemary Morris the amazing couple behind photoshoot.co.nz, it was such a blast.  James and I haven’t laughed so much in what seems like eons.  The weather on the west coast was just perfect.  It was warm but not too glarey so the photos should look amazing.  Unfortunately after having hair and make up done, the first set of photos were of me standing in a cave mouth with the ocean pouring in .. well the ocean kicked my arse and the photos from then on in resemble a drowned rat as opposed to a super model .. but what the heck, we had a fantastic time.  At the end of the evening Peter and Rosemary were apologizing profusely for getting us so wet because of the tide, but James and I just brushed it off and said it was the best night we have had in ages.

Here is a teaser shot …

Thats me!

Saturday was spent working out, dressing up .. then drinking and dancing up a storm at Jo’s 50th celebrations.  It was such a great night with a great bunch of girls.  Most of the girls compete, so it was a chance for us all to let down our hair, get out of our gym gear and sneakers, don some heels and slap on some make up, eat and drink and enjoy life!  I think I crawled into bed just before 3 am .. I lasted longer than I thought I would. 😉

Sunday however rolled around too quickly .. kids don’t care that Mum came in late .. the show must go on!  Thankfully I got a nap in when the kids had theres, so I felt slightly more refreshed after that.

The sunglasses were to block out the sun .. honest 😉

And although I lead the weekend of a socialite, the highlight of my weekend was dressing the Christmas tree with Isabelle .. Christmas is an amazing time of year when you have kids, it also makes me remember all the reasons we wanted to procreate in the first place.

Anyhoo .. on that sentimental note .
