LOL I guess that’s one reason to try and give up sugar!
Last week I tried the don’t eat everything in sight meal plan and this week I’m stepping it up and I’m going to try to cut out all refined sugar, natural sweeteners and artificial sweeteners for six days ..
I know .. SIX! Crazy huh?!?! 😉
Now I’m not going to be all gung ho about it, basically it means that I won’t eat any lollies, baking (home made or shop bought), biscuits (which I guess comes under the baking category), cake, ice cream and other such crap BUT I’ll still eat raw fruit because after all fejoa’s are abound! Life is way to short to forgo fejoas.
So, in short I’m moving on from last weeks don’t eat so much crap all the time “diet” to don’t eat so much crap and don’t eat ANY sweet shit (even if it’s “cleaned up and paleofied”).
Yesterday was day one and as Issy and I were out of the house most of the afternoon/evening whirling and twirling with our hula hoops at our weekly hoop fitness class, so I was kept pretty busy. It wasn’t till I got home and was peckish that I had to stop myself from grabbing something “quick” (aka crap). At least I caught myself as I absentmindedly reached for something – those bad habits huh! They sure creep up on you.
But you know what …
Day one of giving up sugar went way better than day one of giving up smoking. I still remember that day vividly, I could barely sip water and honestly thought I was going to die, but that was nearly 10 years ago and I’m still standing!
