THE PEAK RUN
Road to Routeburn – Week 12/37

Although my BIG goal for 2025 is the Routeburn Classic (which is the reason I’d returned to blogging regularly), the very first goal I set (and the reason I started running), was to complete the Legends of the Peaks half marathon in November 2024.
Back in March when I signed up for the event, it seemed like it was FOREVER away, but fast forward to today and there are only three weeks till the event! Which seems so crazy – not only because it shows just how time flies, but mostly because running 21km back then seemed so far out of my capabilities but now I’m pretty confident even though I haven’t actually run that far (yet).
Today I completed my peak run, which is the longest trail run I’ve done to date – and it’s also the longest run I’ll do before race day and although I wouldn’t have said it was easy, I finished still feeling good so I’m hoping to have a good race day.
Starting to get excited.
Week 12 in a nutshell .. below.
Till next time
