Monday monday
Happy Monday everyone!
I had a fantastic, albeit tiring weekend and I even managed to cross off another one of my 11 things to do in 2011! I consider myself lucky to be able to come to work and sit down on my arse for a few hours to catch my breath! 😉
Even though technically Saturday is the start of my training week, Monday is the day that I think of as the start of the week because it’s the first day back in the gym lifting some weights, its also usually the day I actually get time to sit down and think about what I want to achieve during the coming week.
This week I’ve got three things that I want to achieve. I figure if I actually write them down somewhere that other people can see them, I may actually have a better chance of completing the tasks!
- Do at least one abdominal workout.
- Do either a road walk or an indoor cardio session after dinner each night.
- Jog the entire 5k’s in the final Albany Run Series being held this Sunday.
So nothing earth shattering, but things for me to focus on. I’m actually quite enjoying my after dinner cardio sessions … although lugging Elias around in the Ergo is not the easiest way to burn some calories! Some days I actually hide the backpack so that he doesn’t have a temper tantrum when I tell him he has to go in the pram. Believe me the tears and shrieks of protest do my head in! The boy really needs to learn some words 😉
Anyway its Monday so I think I need to revive
Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt.
William Shakespeare
This quote is significant for me today, because it makes me think of James and the way he overcame his fear of heights. Apparently my fear on all the stupid wobbling platforms helped him overcome his .. because his protector qualities came out and he forgot all about his own fear.
I knew I married him for something other than his good looks and hot bod
Till next time
