The 31st already??
Can you believe it is the last day of winter!
I felt the need to let you know that yes – I am in fact still alive.
I have been a little slack on the blog front lately, because well I haven’t really been doing anything epic, I’m not training for any events, I’m not preparing for a competition … I’ve just been training hard so I can play hard 😉
So as a round up to the month I thought I would get round to answering some of your questions .. exciting stuff huh? 😉
(And yes it’s because I couldn’t think of any brilliant topics to blog about) so here we go!
The? As in a singular event?? I don’t think I can list a singular highlight .. it’s been a great month!
Ludus turned two
That involved lot’s of burpees to start out the day (200 if I recall correctly), lots of food (Anna even bought me a cupcake from Petal cupcakes), lots to drink (I had my very first kava) and lots of good friends.
Apparently we all think something is hillarious – except J that is, maybe it’s because he stayed clear of the kava. 😉
Then there was the day I took these two to
stalk meet the All Blacks
They sang “the rugby” song the whole way to the stadium it went a little like “we’re going to see the rugby, rugby, rugby rugby” *sigh*
Anyway Issy clung to my leg (as per her normal) but Elias would quite happily thrust his rugby ball forward so it could be signed. One of those balls is a gift for my brother, I haven’t actually figured out HOW I’m going to get one of the kidlets to give it up though.
And Mummy got to touch big burly rugby players .. gosh its a hard life.
Issys future husband SBW
Then there was Clares future husband (and All Black Skipper) Richie
And then there was the “Bendon Boy” Dan Carter
My thoughts on the AB’s?
SBW is way taller and bigger than I imagined. Richie is very “southern man” and is actually a little scary (which Piri found hilarious) and I never knew what girls saw in Dan Carter UNTIL I met him. He’s got that kind of boy next door look about him and he was great with the kids – that always scores extra brownie points. 😉
My fav AB? That’s gotta be my boy Piri who also doubles as photographer when Yumes and I both want a photo with an All Black!
I even got a “private” book signing. Well I yelled out after a hard arse Ludus session “Hey can you sign my book” and he said “Yeah sure”
The book is good by the way, if you get the chance grab a copy. Some of it is HILARIOUS although I won’t lie some of the rugby game recollection is kind of boring for someone like me who isn’t INTO rugby like some rugby fans are.
I just like to look at hot guys run around in short shorts 😉
And of course I can’t let any “highlight” reel go without mentioning dessert – one is never enough!
In fact tonight I’m off to have dinner with a group of Ludians so on tonight’s menu is warm banana pudding, butterscotch sauce, salted caramel popcorn, banana sorbet … did I mention I totally LOVE my life!
Argh I’m sorry. I do keep thinking I need to get round to that but in my “defense” I haven’t done a session with each and every trainer so I can’t do a full overview until then …
But it’s coming, I promise!
Until next time
