Today is Friday in the land down under.  (If you are now humming a certain men at work song give yourself a pat on the back for making it to old age) 😉

Most people herald Friday as the leisurely slide into their weekend of excesses in all things good (or bad depending on the person) but when a Ludian thinks of Friday three innocuous looking letters pop into their heads

The letters F U and Y when put together juuuuuuuuust right bring a sense of  excitement/challenge and even a little dread to the arena, but every Friday we turn up for FYUF because what must be done, must be done …..

Today’s attempt at culling the Ludian population was a 50-10 workout. After perusing the board I thought I *may* get to the 30’s because the 40’s included chins and they would hold me up. 40 chins!

One of my resolutions for last year was to do 11 unassisted chins, fast forward a few months and I now expect myself to do quadruple the number.

I “breezed” *cough cough, splutter* through the 50’s although I do have to admit my five hill sprints where hill jog’s but I have a doctors note … 😉

And for some reason only known to God himself I did the chins last in the set – usually I do the hardest thing first in any set to get it out of the way. Maybe I was secretly hoping to run out of time and not have to do any chins .. who knows.

BUT *insert trumpets and other such grand musical instruments*   I did them!  All 40!  No kipping, no bands .. all me!

One of the guys at Ludus calls me Rambo – although at first I thought he was calling me Rainbow which I figured had something to do with my socks because I don’t look like a horse with a colorful mane so I doubted I reminded him of Rainbow Brite … unless he’s watched me do donkeys … (disgressing again! I know, I know! Back on track in 1-2-3)

Today I think I earned the name because I was in fact rather rambo(esque)!

Cute huh? … 😉
