De ja vu anyone? 😉
So here we are again, one week till show day which also means one week till I jet off to the other side of the world! I’ve been asked if I’m excited about our holiday, but to be honest I’ve been concentrating so much on the contest I haven’t had much of a chance to think about the holiday. It’s only when I look at the calender, and then I think shit I’ve got so much to do!
Anyway, I’m feeling so much better than I did one week out from the Christchurch show. Today I started the day with a hardcore session at Ludus, gosh it felt good to be back in the arena. One thing I was quite proud of it how well I did with the low carbs I’ve been on since my last show. I think I’ve become an athlete somewhere in my travels.
After Ludus I did one of the 11 things I want to do in 2011 which was a Fitness Photoshoot. I will do an entire write up on the session for you at a later date, but Peter and Rosemary Morris of photoshoot.co.nz were amazing. The shoot was so much fun and the shots I saw looked fab. They don’t think they will get the final shots to me before I leave for Europe, so I may hold off doing the entire write up on the session till when I come back to NZ.
After my time being a fitness model, it was back home to spend time with the kids. Isabelle heard me walk in, came running then stopped dead in her tracks when she saw me. Funny thing was she was scared of this woman who sounded like Mummy but looked strange. James explained to her that Mummy had facepaint on, just like when Isabelle has her face painted. She seemed happy with that explanation and exclaimed how beautiful my face was. The next thing she asked is if she could touch it .. bless her.
Tomorrow is the start of peak week, bring on decarbing and water loading. Tomorrow I get chicken, chicken and more chicken and six litres of water. But I’m in such a better headspace this time around because I know that carbing up is just around the corner and I have Miss Jo to help me get through training each day, believe me .. I’m going to need her this week! Getting excited .. seven more sleeps!
Oh and to be consistent, here is a pic so you can see what one week to go looks like.
I will take this opportunity to apologise if my posts for the rest of the week are less coherant as the days go on .. just think “oh bless, she really is lacking carbs” 😉
Till next time
